Born in the 90s in Karachi, Pakistan, Kakes started to play guitar in a Blues/Rock band, while at the same time developing interest for electronic music which led to music production. 

The brains behind Kakes, Khayal Khan, prides himself on his selection of a wide variety of music across genres beyond dance music, mostly beautiful sounding music that takes you on a journey. With love for eclectic sets.

Inspired by Fela Kuti, Jimi Hendrix, Stavroz , Bill Withers, Pink Floyd, Nicolas Jaar, Stimming, and a diverse background in jazz, blues,and hip hop, Kakes cleverly mixes downtempo house tunes and anything that has a soul to create a sound which appeals to everyone who likes to move their hips. 

Kakes has so far had the opportunity to work with Ministry of Sound, Eight Members Club, Radio Rooftop, Cirque Le Soir, The Cuckoo Club, Ballroom (Paris), Panic Room (Paris), Hoxton Basement, Egg Club, Juju Bar, Mnky Hse, Tape London. He has also had a chance to play with big names in the industry such as: Stavroz, Chaim, Valentin Huedo, Luca Musto and Adam Port.
